Hudson County Spelling Bee Champion! 
Two students from JCPS take first and second place in Hudson County Spelling Bee.
JCPS eighth-grader Kavya Jakasania from MS#4 Frank R Conwell Middle School #4 wins Hudson spelling bee second year in a row!! She will make return trip to Scripps National Spelling Bee at Washington DC in spring !!!

Kavya won the 2024 county title in the 16th round on Saturday after going head-to-head for six rounds with Ishaan Gupta, a fifth-grade student at the Frank R. Conwell School Frank R. Conwell Tigers PS#3, Jersey City Public Schools in Jersey City, who finished in second place.
Kavya won the Hudson Bee last year too and this will be her second trip to Scripps National Spelling Bee at Washington DC
