Nearly 80 ninth-grade students are embarking on their path to college as the inaugural class of YPIE Jersey City Scholars, a community of students preparing for college success.

YPIE partners with students to ensure they are ready for, enroll in, and complete college.  In its 16th year, YPIE recently launched its program in Jersey City.

On January 25th, YPIE hosted its first YPIE Jersey City Induction Ceremony and formally welcomed students from Lincoln and Dickinson High Schools who have committed to pursuing their path to college with YPIE.

The YPIE Jersey City Scholars Class of 2031, named for the year these students will graduate from college, was selected based on their dedication and focus on their future.

YPIE Scholars will participate in rigorous academics and career exploration after school at the YPIE Jersey City College Zone, and work with YPIE staff and volunteer mentors from across the community.

YPIE is honored to partner with The Jersey City Public, Schools,  Saint Peter’s University, and members of the Jersey City community to support students on their path to and through college. Learn more at ypie.org.
